The present website www.efacha-samaria.gr (“Site”) belongs to the Ephorate of Antiquities of Chania (“Ephorate”) and its use is subject to the following conditions:

1) The Site includes content (“Content”) that is the intellectual property of the Ephorate and is protected by the relevant provisions of Greek and European law, as well as the relevant international conventions. This Content includes, but is not limited to, texts, images and videos belonging to the Ephorate, all of which are protected in accordance with the applicable legislation on intellectual property.

2) The Ephorate encourages private use of the Site and the Content for personal information, as well as use for educational or research purposes. Use within the context of a business, service or organisation is not private use. For educational or research purposes only, the reproduction or storage of individual pages or data is permitted, provided that the origin of the Site (www.efacha-samaria.gr) is indicated.  

3) It is strictly prohibited to store, reproduce, republish, transmit or distribute any part of the Content of the Site for commercial purposes or for any other use not covered by paragraph 2.

4) The Site shall be used exclusively for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not restrict or prevent its use by third parties. The visitor/user is obliged to refrain from any illegal and abusive behaviour during the use of the Site and in relation to it, and is responsible for any damage caused to the Ephorate and/or any third party due to misuse or inappropriate use of the Site and/or the relevant services offered through it.

5) The Ephorate declares that it makes every possible effort to ensure that all the content and information that appears on the Site is, as far as possible, accurate, clear, correct, complete, up-to-date and available; however, it does not guarantee that the pages, services, options and contents will be provided without interruption and without errors, or that errors will be corrected. Furthermore, the Ephorate does not guarantee that this or any other related website or the servers through which they are made available to the visitor/user are provided free of viruses or other harmful components. The Ephorate is not liable for damage of any kind suffered by the visitor/user of the pages, services, options and contents of the Site which they enter on their own initiative and being aware of the Terms of Use.

6) Any personal data that users may send via email to the Site Contact page are included in the archives of the Ephorate, are used exclusively to provide better service and information, and are in no way reproduced or made available to third parties.
Any processing of personal data is always carried out in the best interest of the users, in accordance with the principles of legality, transparency, accuracy, availability and integrity in all its aspects. Moreover, in full compliance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the appropriate technical and organisational measures are applied to protect users’ personal data and ensure their privacy. 

7) The Ephorate reserves the right to modify the Terms of Use of the Site at any time and without prior notice and to publish them on this page.
